According to this post from ESPN's Dale Johnson, Accrington and Crawley are indeed the only two league teams to have not played at Wembley, new or old. There are seven further clubs who haven't played at the new Wembley (since the post was made Charlton won there in the play-offs while Bury went out of business).

Last season's competition still hasn't been finished. Portsmouth and Salford reached the final which should have been at Wembley at the beginning of April. Obviously that got postponed - but it still hasn't been cancelled. Portsmouth had shifted 50000 tickets and a couple of weeks back there was a piece on their website telling fans to keep hold of their tickets as there is still an intention to play the final whenever spectators are allowed back.

One thing I like about Paul Lambert (and it's a short list) is his utter disdain for this tournament.
Some career stats for the outfield players starting for Ipswich at Crawley tonight:
Average age - 18.5
Total starts (all comps) - 5
Total sub appearances (all comps) - 17
Total league starts - 0
Total league appearances - 11 (and that's just two players)
And the outfield subs:
Total starts - 0
Total subs - 1
Total league appearances - 0
Unfortunately, after a team featuring some of these youngsters accidentally beat Gillingham last time, they may yet go through.

Not only is this competition ludicrously devalued by the b teams, but I have just noticed that they have some bizarre ice hockey style system where it is 3 points for a win, 2 points for a draw plus win on penalties, 1 point for a draw plus defeat on penalties.
