Paying the bills is for the Little People

Thanks for that. And commiserations on your owner.

Portsmouth Ladies also finally got to play at the big ground – Fratton Park – right at the very end of the season, a meaningless game on a day when all of the supporters were hung over from the men's team winning their league. Cf Brighton, whose women played at the Amex from 12 to 2 pm on a day in December when the men's team visited the same opponent in a tv game from 2 to 4.

Orient saved from what had begun to look like an inevitable tailspin. Many congratulations to all the OTF Os :-)

Terrific news, it must be a big relief to the fans to finally be rid of that parasite.

Absolutely fantastic news, but do we believe Becchetti's statement that he leaves the club with 'no debts to the bank'? I'd be surprised if the new owners haven't had to factor in all manner of debt clearance as part of the purchase.

Well, "to the bank" is probably the significant bit of that statement.

Heartiest best wishes to all O's fans on the news. Hope it's the beginning of better days.

Yes it's all good news really. The sense of euphoria last Thursday almost rivalled that of when we got to Wembley three years ago. There's a hell of a rebuilding job to do, and teething problems to resolve (not least how the elected supporter on the board will work, which will inevitably provoke wrangling), but these are nice problems to have after the hell of the last three years.

And a little (well, incredibly lengthy) broadside to the EFL from all at Brisbane Road: We haven't gone away, you know.

Dunkin' donuts. Who would have thought that's who your saviour would be. Saw him on BBC London news last night and he sounded sensible and realistic.

Yeah he's a big-shot capitalist and all, but does seem to believe in doing things properly and openly, not least in his agreement for elected supporter representation on the board. We'd been in touch with his people for some months now, but had to keep completely schtum (even to some of our bestest mates) for fear it would give Becchetti an excuse to pull out of the deal, which was a remarkably difficult thing to get over the line. Even 10 days ago, I feared we might be fucked
