One of Zamudio v Real Union Irun on Tuesday; Sestao River v Mensajero, Arenas Club v Navalcarnero or Barakaldo v RM Castilla on Wednesday.... Decisions, decisions...

All Saints' Day is a public holiday here, and some of the local leagues had a full programme of matches on, presumably hoping that people wouldn't have a great deal to do apart from go out for lunch and then wander on down to the game...

Only 30 people bothered to visit Freisbach for this extremely one-sided encounter in the B-Klasse Rhein-Mittelhaardt Ost. Not that anyone bothered to collect any money on the gate, but 9 goals would have been good value for any money, as Waldsee took the points home after dishing out an 8-1 hammering to their hosts. Freisbach had little to offer apart from attempting to kick the visitors off the pitch from the start and it was only thanks to some very lenient refereeing that they finished the game with eleven men on the pitch - although he probably read the situation very well and realised that producing a red card would have tipped the Freisbach players over the brink, probably leading to an abandonment (that seems to happen fairly regularly in the lower leagues around here). At least this way, Waldsee got their win and he didn't have a particularly long report to write...

Plumped for Barakaldo 1-1 RM Castilla as this fitted best with my work timetable in the end. It was well worth it too - only 10€ and a good game and atmosphere. Brief match report via my ticket blog http://ingoldale.tumblr.com/post/152681528691/barakaldo-1-1-real-madrid-castilla-barakahere.

0-2 to Clapton. Both goals were sublime.

I went to Prestwich Heys against Litherland REMYCA last night. Finished 3-2 to Litherland, all the goals in the first half. Litherland's second goal was caught by the Prestwich keeper who somehow managed to throw it into the net. It was cold.

                  And they're on youtube!

Reckon I've watched that second goal about 40 times now, what a lovely strike. The first is notable for having 5 players and passes involved in the build up.
