    Clubs based in exclaves

Go on then, which wiki page says that?

And by Google do you mean typing transnistria into Google gives you a result on the 13th page by some Russian nationalist from Tiraspol who regards it as such?

      https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=transnistria&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b&gfe_rd=cr&ei=IRcGWJDGHfHW8geVup2oBw#q=transnistr ia%2C+exclave

      Why do you care anyway?
If it really isn't, it's no big deal.

I've searched that wikipedia page and there is no mention of it (the only listing of Transnistria is a couple of districts of Tiraspol that you have to cross out of the "autonomous republic" to get to) and the google search hardly says anything differently

(Plus, by the way, I don't think results of a Google search actually mean that Google says this)

I care because my inner pedant (Ok, not so inner) felt the need to correct wrongness

Silly me, must have confused poster Gonzo who holidayed by the Black Sea last week with poster Costanza demostrating a new found interest in Dnistr regional politics.

The wikipedia page talks about two parts of Transnistria which are only accessible by land via Causeni district in Moldova (under Transnistrian administration) - but Sherrif Tiraspol play in Transnistria proper - on the Eastern bank of the Dnistr.

Not quite an exclave, but IFK Marienhaam of the Åland Islands won the Finnish League today (to go with the Finnish Cup they currently hold).

Åland is officially an autonomous region of Finland, but it issues its own stamps, has different tax laws and exercises a greater degree of autonomy than most other autonomous regions in the EU. It also is Swedish-speaking.

The only other example of a team from such an entity winning a "different" league in the post-WW II era that I can think of is AS Monaco.

Now I might be wrong about this, because it's quite confusing, but a quick look at Google Maps seems to suggest that although the clubhouse and pitch of KVV Baarle-Hertog are in the Belgian exclave in the Netherlands, the car park is in the Dutch exclave inside that.

You must have done. Never been anywhere near the Black Sea but have been on a brief cruise through the Aland Islands, complete with a load of drunken Finnish OAP's, if that helps?
