I've got used to not being familiar with names from some recent breakaway enclave, but when clubs from old powers like Portugal and the Netherlands are drawn together, I don't expect to be grunting: "Who are ya? Who are ya?".

I'd been looking at the Uefa site and idly wondering why had the final letter of SønderjyskE was capitalised - turns out their full name is Sønderjysk Elitesport and they've conjoined and abbreviated it.

Who is going to be the first side from these isles to adopt this style of nomenclature? HamiltonA sounds a bit more exotic than the rather fusty Academicals. ManC might put a few Red noses out of joint (those that aren't from Salford, anyway). Would a re-branded AlloaA entice a few confused Hawaiians into supporting them?
