About the last Euros where I expect the winners would have given that year's CL winners a tonking was Holland in 1988 v PSV Eindhoven. And I'm not sure about that.

Spain in 2012 against Chelsea, would have been close. It pains me to admit, but the 2008 equivalent would not have been. Manchester United would have wiped the floor with them.

I assume that the last 4 in the 2016 CL would beat the semi finalists in the Euros more often than not. How far does this trend go Back? Would it apply to 1992, 1996, 2000?
