    A Well-Oiled Conveyor Belt

The perennial question from Euros and World Cups remains to be answered - how can the Republic, North and Wales nurture their domestic leagues to ensure a steady flow of international quality talent?

    1. Coaching: Given that Iceland have 100 coaches with UEFA "A" qualifications, it seems that every junior league under national auspices should encourage managers to strive for the highest standards to achieve per capita excellence.

    2. Academies: Would regional academies under the direct control of FAs be preferable, or should local league clubs organise them, with tie-ups to the regional pyramid system?

    3. Skills: Is futsal the right approach to hone capabilities in possession-based football, or will proper coaching best accomplish this goal?

    4. Infrastructure: Where should national associations best direct funding to improve regional development?

    5. Transfers: Would it be preferable for Dublin, Belfast and Cardiff to direct young talent towards Continental leagues, rather than England, when players have outgrown their domestic league?
