Diego's behaviour has not been good this year. He starts fights at playtime then tells the playground supervisor that the other child started it. He has spent time in detention and has even been suspended. He would not do what the previous headmaster told him, which upset everyone else at the school when the headmaster left. He hasn't reached hardly any of the targets he has been set this year, and to cap it all he fell out with one of his classmates the other day.
Must do better.

Jamie has excelled beyond all expectation since Mr Ranieri took over his class. He has gone from an average pupil to go on to break some of the arbitrary records set by ourselves this year. Jamie still sometimes has a bit of a big mouth, occasionally chatting back, but we try to allow for the fact that he came to us from a poorer school and has had to adapt.

Wayne has been a real disappointment this year. He seems to make very little effort unless he feels like it, and that is when he bothers to turn up at all. Even when he does attend class he shows no interest, and refuses to sit where the teacher tells him. Wayne was a star pupil when he was younger, but his grades have dropped right off.
What is especially disappointing is that he was awarded top of the class at his after school, though we are dubious about the level of testing they have provided over the last year and a half.
