Van de Gaal Degenerator - TV Football January 2nd

Important that Leicester get back on track with a win and that Man U's home slump continues. If Leicester can put three more points between themselves and Man U/Liverpool, it will be a nice New Year gift.

No, even in this topsy-turvy season, Ars-Newcastle should be a home banker of all home bankers.

Biggest game of the day might be Sunderland-Villa, with the loser truly fucked. If Sunderland don't win, Big Sam may as well trundle off.

Unbelievable interview with Steven Gerrard in the Times today. His incredible sense of entitlement remains and if I was Klopp I wouldn't invite him anywhere near the place. His views on England are the usual boys club garbage, a place in the team for life for his mates no matter how they are playing. This isn't surprising bearing in mind it is exactly the same as his view on his own career.

Hey, you gotta give more respect to Stevie G. All those Premier League winner's medals.

If United lose, Liverpool and West Ham draw, Stoke win and Watford beat Man City, Man Utd will drop to 10th place.

Well, he'd have won at least three with Chelsea if he'd joined them in 2005. Four if he'd gone in 2004.

If Villa beat Sunderland it merely confirms that they are both fucked. Sunderland need to beat Villa and also win their next game against Swansea if they have any chance of catching up with the rest. Their next five matches include games against Spurs, Man City, Man Unied and Liverpool.

Listening to Tom Carroll talk makes me feel very old. He sounds about twelve years old.

To add to the fun, if Swansea do the dirt today, their record against United since van Gaal took over will be P4 W4.

Lucas booked for one of his trademark robust challenges. He's an awful eejit.

Looking at that again, Lucas should be off.

                          He's the captain today.

I don't mind listening to Van Gaalaprop for the rest of the season, if it keeps Stevie Me off the media.

That Liverpool line-up looks remarkably average. Apart from Coutinho there isn't a single player there that would even make the bench in any of the current CL clubs.

Andy Carroll shouldn't be allowed score a goal like that against liverpool. Not after what he cost them.

Ronald Koeman has dropped Sadio Mane today because of "disciplinary issues".

                                    Hmmm.

Mignolet makes a good double save from Carroll and Michail Antonio.

Don't know what Klopp is going to do in this transfer window, but I reckon next summer he's gonna tear that squad apart.

Klopp must be bemused when sends on an experienced international and watches him give the ball away.

It is the classic line of weak punning for the TV thread.
