    "Blackburn Meadows"?

    "Blackwell Meadows".

    (Freudian slip there?)

        Very much so.

How fares the Safecrackers Arena these days? Anyone using it much?

Being built as we speak, I believe.

(I take it you mean the football pitch, not the street? - that's going to have this built on it:

The All Blacks will be using it in October.

              Does that count?

Only been to Darlington once, and that was by mistake. Took the train from Middlesbrough to Teesside Airport but it didn't stop there, so I had to go right through to Darlington and back again.

Anyone else with a Darlington anecdote?

Many years back I went to Darlington on the supporters coach. We arrived in town dead early and little else to do pre-match I got royally hammered.

The problem came later, that even after the 8-hour trip back to Plymouth, I was still too drunk and in no state to drive home. I spent an uncomfortable night curled on the back seat of a mini metro and then the wrath of my girlfriend when I eventually rocked home the following morning.

Still beats the time I spent Christmas Eve sleeping in the back of a Ford Escort van though.

More importantly - fantastic news for Darlington.

Hope you were in Hogans up by the train station, in which case you would've spent no more than a tenner to do so. Definitely one of the better away day establishments.

I've never been to Hogan's and not seen a fight.

I loved Feethams. A cracking old-fashioned little ground.

I used to do a lot of work in Darlo. Hogans was always rife for a bit of boxing.

It was a decrepit falling-down dump.

That, and a Premier Inn, along with other parts of the development? - is going on the whole of Feethams from the site of the soon-to-be-demolished [strike]Stasi Headquarters[/strike] Town Hall and the site of the former United/National Bus Station.

                                    (Right response this time!)
