But I for one am pleased our lovable East London neighbours are having a rare season that doesn't suck.

Thank you, slackster, it's nice to be lovable, even under the hateful Big Sam. For the record, I don't have a knee-length leather jacket, but a waist-length one - so there's a big difference - but I generally wear my Big Vern sheepskin. And my 3rd favourite film is Ace in the Hole. I can't disagree with any of SSC's summation though. Alf Garnett was one of the great comic creations of course, shame he was based on us.

But we did win the World Cup.
