      Tony Woodcock presumably.

      That looks a bit cryptic...

John Bumstead isn't some sort of lavatory-based buttock support.

Daley Blind can see, and Nigel is getting less Jong by the day. Tim Krul doesn't have much of a curl in his hair. Robin van Persie, as far as I can tell, is not from Persia.

The most you could say is that Michael Reiziger (presumably) enjoys travel, or at least partakes in it now and again.

Frank Rijkaard must have cashed in heavily in those 18 month as Saudi Arabian national team manager.

Was Daniel van Buyten born outdoors?

(Or doesn't his surname mean what I think it could mean, albeit with a spelling mistake?)

Carlo Costly is available on a free. Scores when it matters?

Andrea Pirlo stands clear of the water.

And now Marcel Costly has featured in the transfer window, moving from Mainz to Magdeburg. He probably wasn't.

Following a £12.5M transfer then one goal in twenty appearances plus a warning about his conduct, Isaac Success has been sent out on loan.

                            This is excellent

Bradley Stoke Town FC has a player called Bradley Stokes

I thought there was a thread specifically about footballers with the same name as their club. Maybe it was this thread.

Anyway, I saw this on Twitter today. Every goalie at Ross County is called Ross.

                                That’s great.

There have been a couple of other threads more specific to this phenomenon - on both of which I believe I’ve pitched Andorran international Xavi Andorra, who plays for FC Andorra, so I might as well go for the match ball...

Yes I feel I'm on the wrong thread but I can't find the others.
