Your lad Mumba scored a cracking solo goal, loved him making the young lads day as he celebrated too.

Used to be our lad Mumba but the previous regime sold off everything to prevent having to dig into their own pockets.

Once again our ownerships buy young&low and cross their fingers policy fails due to a lack of attacking options. Ross Stewart out until Oct and only 10 goals from 11 games last season replaced this season by a 19yr old from Benfica B and an 18yr old French iirc kid who did his hamstring the morning after signing. We played the last four months of last season with no recognised striker and to start this season in the same predicament will cost us.
Ref missed two pens one for each team and sent our idiot RB Hume off for two silly yellows yet never booked one of their lads for two similar challenges to Humes second.
13 mins injury time played after second half. Travelling fans are gonna have to reconsider their plans all over the country. It certainly narrows down my retirement options up there. Catch the 17:05 and it’s possible to be on the lash in Whitby by 19:30

Sorry for your loss sfd. On the rare occasions I get back to Portman Road I always feel Dad is with me and remember Mum's rare decisions to join us (yes, I'm talking about Lazio at home). I hope over time the sadness will be balanced by remembering the good times you had all together at football.

On matters football an encouraging start for my lot, especially as we've lost our best keeper for a while. Thought Coventry looked very good yesterday right up until they made 3 subs when 1-0 up and completely lost control of the game.

Corberan was sent off on Saturday. He didn't give a post-game interview. Only a couple of days later did I find out that new FA rules brought in this season exclude non-playing staff from giving interviews if they have received a red card in the game. So Jed Wallace, our new captain has to come out and do post-match media duties. All very bizarre.

Ainsworth appears to have aged twenty years in the past three months. If they play for the poor bastard at Cardiff tomorrow like they did at Oxford and Watford it's hard to see him lasting another week.

                      Well that's a bit reassuring.

Leicester's new manager unafraid to assert himself. From BBC Sport's Leicester correspondent::-

"I just asked Enzo Maresca why Daka, Castagne, Souttar & Soumare were not in the squad today, but there were 2 keepers on the bench. He said that it was a mix of technical/tactical decisions AND that he felt it better for other to be out the squad for personal reasons."

Ipswich and Leicester the only teams with 100% records after two games.

Welcome back to Div 2, or Cardiac Corner as long-time residents call it.

That feels like a big result for Argyle.

I thought I was having a bad day and I've just seen who's top of the PL, fucking hell

I did wonder if Maresca was making a point by leaving so many of last season's starters on the bench last week.

All Albion fans of a certain age love Enzo maresca. I'm sure he'll get a good reception at the hawthorns this season.

ITV spending more time talking to some American bloke at a building site for longer than they spent on actually showing most of the other games was somewhat odd.

Definitely odd. They've done away with the studio format that I thought worked well and reduced divisions 3 & 4 to goals only rather than highlights. If time's so precious why use so much of it on inane chat with a couple of Yanks?

Last week was the Plymouth show, this week Birmingham.

It's crap to be honest (nothing against either club), but it means they're not paying studio pundits so it's saving money I suppose.

So what you’re saying is it’s resorted back to the old style “Gabriel Clarke at a ground doing a feature, supplemented by highlights/goals but not broadcast at 20 to 2 on a Tuesday morning” setting.

I've just seen our man's bookings. In what way was that over exuberant celebrating?

As well as a couple of lovely kits, Leeds now have three Welsh internationals in the side with Joe Rodon's loan signing.

That probably means they are my D2 side this season, which is very weird.
