My conspiracy theory on the Newcastle shirt is that the owners of the club are trying to break their contract with the sponsors so they can get their own company, the same as the sleeves, and whack the money up tenfold. It'll also look nice on the old FFP-o-meter.

Deep down, though, I am siding with this being common incompetence, another hangover of the decayed infrastructure Mike Ashley left us with: aside from making the shirts and that, Castore are - as I understand it - also responsible for running the club shop. Not that I'm the kind to go out and buy Joelinton oven gloves like, but the only thing we sell that isn't Castore branded are gift cards and a calendar. No wonder the commercial revenue was in the toilet.

Fielded an illegitimate player I imagine.

Blurb from the official site...
It’s the kit EVERYONE is talking about – and now you can get your hands on one of the few famous Kingsley tops currently in existence.
All Partick Thistle supporters who have bought a 2022/23 season ticket ahead of our first competitive game of the season on July 9 will be entered into a free prize draw, with more than 1,300 Jags fans already automatically in the draw.
The six names successful in the random draw will each win one adult sized* Kingsley kit shirt, the first six people to own the unique, colourful top.
For those not successful in the draw, we’re delighted to confirm that Greaves Sports and O’Neills will produce a run of Kingsley kits, including children’s sizes, for sale later this year.
Good luck – competition closes July 9, winners announced July 11 and kits posted that week.

(And yes, I do like sponsored shirts. They are part of the design and it looks unfinished without one.)Last edited by Amor de Cosmos; 30-06-2022, 17:41.
