Well, it's better than the first (hideous) and the second (bland and pretentious). And all three are better than their corresponding monstrosities last year, not that that sets the bar very high. So can we agree that Barcelona's kits are gradually improving?

Yes, I like that a lot actually. Ursus will have to confirm if the colours are exactly right though.

The Blau is too bright for my taste (see the contrast with the badge) but the Grana is more pleasingly accurate, unlike many of our recent kits.

The "sparkly" gold change kit is even more annoying in action (not to mention in person) than it is in still photos.

It is being shown with white shorts, but the idea that there is a proper shorts and socks combo for each shirt is increasingly observed in the breach.

That photo also makes the Blaugrana look identical to those of the disappointing first kit.

This thread reminds me that Burnley haven't unveiled their away shirt yet, and have played their first six games of the season in claret and blue. A state of affairs that I'm happy with, except it surely can't continue on Saturday away at the blue and white stripes of Wigan.

There is an implication there that a predominantly white shirt wouldn't have been a problem two years ago.

Though I must admit the issue didn't occur to me and it did look white in the original photo upthread.

Not really blue and white stripes - given Burnley wore their home kit against Shrewsbury last night, I suspect they'll be ok.

There was a genuine (though also press-enflamed) kerfuffle among the support in the early 90s when Kappa increased the about of white in the kit by running a repeat of their logo on a white strip from the collar all the way down the sleeves.

Yes, I remember the "White Stripe Riots" though in my mind it was around the time of the Figo/Pig's Head era. I suspect I've conflated the two furores.

Barca is constant drama, so conflation is a very common phenomenon

Figo never played in the white stripe kit, but he did play in its less contentious successor



But he also played in the first two Nike seasons before the pig's head

It's nice. That "vibrant multi-colours on black" look seems popular this season with Brentford and Coventry being the most recent examples.
