Roger Hunt has passed away today. Along with the Saint that’s two childhood heroes gone in a few months.

Hunt scored more league goals for Liverpool than did Ian Rush (244 v 229), but 77 of Hunt's goals were in the Second Division.

Hunt's reaction to Hurst's shot for the 3rd goal is often cited (usually by Hurst) as proof that it had crossed the line.
