Yes, there are different rationales behind this phenomenon.

The Hapoel and Maccabi clubs in Israel and the Dinamo clubs of the former USSR are similar to the IFK clubs.

The Benfica knockoffs are all clubs founded by Portuguese expats (except for Santa Clara, who started as a Benfica tribute club in the Azores).

Proper belly laugh at that one. No offense to Fulham, but what an utterly bizarre choice of club and/or badge to emulate if they have no links to them. They've somehow managed to make a poor badge a hundred times worse as well (that clipart football is quite something)

A few years ago Basildon United tried using Bolton Wanderers', but changed the colours to yellow and black and the W in BWFC to a U.

I wish I could find a copy, but they've done a pretty good job of deleting it everywhere.

Barrow Wanderers have done the same sort of thing, changing a couple of the letters to red.

I quite like the way the letters RFC are doing something like a rugby football club lineout.

SpVgg Haidhausen's badge looks suspiciously like Unterhaching's (sans bobsleigh).

Ha! Spot on. They even kept the rose in IIRC.

And of course, Shrewsbury Town famously binned off their loggerheads for a piece of clip art shamelessly looted by a chancer from a primary school in Scotland who charged them for the privilege.

(The chancer doing the looting, not the school.

Schools using clipart should be regarded as fair use)
