I found it interesting that when the fans were protesting against the planned Super League, most of the fans of the Big Six were protesting against the ESL concept first and their owners second, whereas the photos and reports about United fans were solely about protests against the Glazers.

Yes, this has been simmering for years and was just looking for a trigger, which the ESL was. It's another example of American owners not having a fucking clue what they are destroying.

That Twitter account is stealing content from people actually at the protests. I'd be very surprised if the person behind it is even in the country, let alone in Manchester.

This is utterly brilliant and I'm hugely proud of everyone involved. Following from a car park on the Isle of Skye wishing I was there.

Get the game called off. What a message.

If the game is off, when does it get played? I suppose they could play tomorrow. (I realize this is a secondary consideration to the big issue: the Glazers being cunts who have to go).

It will be interesting also to hear the responses of Gary Neville, other ex-Man U players and, indeed, the current players.

                  A three-day gap and they're 6-2 up.

It's difficult to see how they could play the game at Old Trafford if protests continue after today - maybe move the game (and other Man U home games)?

Is it not more likely that Liverpool will be awarded a 3-0 walkover?

Their rivals for 4th place would kick up a stink.

All the fans have left Old Trafford now, so if the pitch is playable, it would seem more likely than not that the game will go ahead, though slightly delayed.

Even prominent campaigners against Antisemitism feel justified in using the word “leaching “ about the Glazers

differenf derivation obviously but an interesting assonance. Can’t imagine he’d tolerate the same language being used about say Philip Green by a Labour supporter.

Five Live are saying the ground needs to have a security sweep, which will take potentially hours. You also have to get the teams to the stadium.

NBC Sports also being arseholes, taking an editorial position against the protests, comparing it with 80s hooliganism. I'm disappointed with Rebecca Lowe, whose anchoring skills I had been impressed by.
