Mark Bright. Signed as a replacement for St Gary and scored twice on his debut as Leicester gubbed Linekers Everton on the opening day of the 85/86 season 3-1, he never made up for that stunning debut and went on to scuffle around the lower leagues in SE London with some bloke called Wright.

That’s good. Always wonder abut those “mercurial” players.

Yes, almost all of his goals were in the 97 section of 97-98. It was claimed he sustained an eye injury playing squash but the Rangers fans I know believe he was punched by a senior player for playing around with another player's wife.

Some might argue that injury cost Rangers 10 in a row but Rangers were on top of the table with 4 games left and lost 2 of them so I don't think that's a fair assessment.

Judging by this season, it would appear that 10 in a row is cursed in Scotland. Don't be surprised if Celtic gain all the momentum, close the gap to 2 points and then the season is shut early cos of covid and Rangers are given the title.

Both sides of the Old Firm tried very hard to give that title away in 1998. You'd almost think 10-in-a-row was a big deal only for the meejah and certain sections of the fanbase.

            Do managers count?

            If so, Paul Hurst.

However, when we started the following season by shipping 12 goals in 2 league matches, money was found and he signed an 18 month deal. Unfortunately, the team stank and Bullard was nowhere near the level he was capable of (he claimed this wasn’t helped by being played out of position). His last appearance was in 4-0 loss at Burnley in a match which may have been one of the few good performances the Clarets ever put in under Eddie Howe and what may have been the worst -among a number of candidates - that Town put in under Jewell. He didn’t feature after that (November 2011) and was released at the end of the season.
I'd argue that between his injuries, at some point Bullard managed to play a season's worth of decent football throughout his career. I know that when he was with us we got about 5 games of brilliance out of him, but most of the time he was dreadful. Plus the fact he was being paid an astronomical wage, acted the cunt in several pubs and clubs, and got sparked out by Nicky Barmby and a Hull FC player in 2 separate incidents. There's probably not many of our fans watch Soccer AM these days, lest they kick their tellys in.
