If going long was the right option in the first case then let's get Egil Olsen out of retirement and launch everything route 1. The second misplaced pass was pretty dismal, but even given that, what was the xG on the opportunity presented to City? 0.1 maybe 0.2? There's a calculated risk in every pass.
