Just finished watching this on the iPlayer and just wanted to note a few observations:

1 - Brazil's Topper kits always seemed to look about a decade out of date.

2 - The sheer number of times the commentator mentioned "the new ?400,000 floodlights". It could have been some kind of drinking game.

3 - I don't recall the career of Gavin Maguire at all.

4 - Bloody hell, how many chances did we have in the last ten minutes?

I used to occasionally see Gavin Maguire play for QPR in the mid-Eighties when I went long to Loftus Road with my best mate from school. I was astounded when he turned out for Wales a few years later, both on quality grounds and the fact that, pre-internet, I had no idea of his Welsh roots.

Was it Maguire who was sued by a Coventry player ( 2nd name Thomas?) for a horrible tackle that ended the latter's career.?

Maguire was indeed sued by Danny Thomas of Spurs (formerly Coventry) for his career ending tackle.

Maguire himself then retired through injury at roughly the same age (26)
