Darlo v York is unlikely to go ahead tomorrow (might be snowed off anyway).

Alfreton v York was called off on Saturday due to a conveniently waterlogged pitch. Seems they've dropped the pretence now though, as Gloucester have confirmed their match tonight won't go ahead because Alfreton are refusing to fulfil the fixture. This really needs to be sorted out ASAP; the competition is becoming increasingly farcical.

I fear it's going to drag on. The votes of the NLS clubs will be used to pressure the NLN to play on, and they'll simply refuse. It could even go to the courts, in theory.

All but two of tonight's NLN fixtures are already off; just the games at Farsley and Kettering* surviving.

*who have said they'll be fielding their kids.

They still went through with the pretence of having a pitch inspection at 10:00 and that being the reason it was called off though

Dulwich Hamlet and St Albans have been having a Twitter feud about their fixture planned for tonight with the latter were insistent they wanted to host despite Hamlet making it clear they were not recommencing fixtures.

This is going to happen over and over, now. I feel as though the National League has pulled the stopper out of a bottle that it isn't going to be able to push back in.

Arsenal will play the away leg of their Europa League game v Benfica in Italy, but seemingly no decision on the home leg, I guess they're praying for a partial lifting of restrictions, otherwise why not make it a one off?

The government are again claiming there was never a promise to the National League that all the financial support this season would be in the form of grants.

"This appears to be a regrettable misunderstanding but DCMS cannot be held responsible for internal communications between a governing body and its clubs."

                    Quite.

Barrow are apparently offering to put out-of-favour players on furlough. This might be commonplace, but first example I've heard.

I saw the comment a few days ago, perhaps on here, that Barrow are pulling a scam doing that - especially having just made signings :

                          Dulwich Hamlet charged for not fulfilling fixtures, their responses to some of the replies here are golden ;

Is the Barrow scam widespread in industry generally?

Chesterfield have been doing it, despite signing half of Gloucester's team.

I've not heard of companies furloughing staff immediately after hiring people for exactly the same roles.

There have been reports of people continuing to have staff undertake work while on full-time furlough but, speaking as a managing partner of a firm utilising the scheme, there are severe sanctions if that's proven.

Concord, Curzon Ashton, and Chippenham have also been similarly charged. Other clubs have been threatened with the same action. More clubs are still indicating that they don't intend to play their next games. Anarchy reigns!

And Concord Rangers refuse point blank to answer the charges, telling Mark Ives to "do one"

So the results are in. Interesting to see the tactical voting of the NLS clubs on resolution 1...

                                                Thankfully sanity has prevailed.

One NLN club voted for Res 1 but against Res 3.

I'm not sure of the economics of how Darlo can play in the Trophy but have no league games; does the Trophy income alone pay for the wages; are players going to be paid per game?

                                                Comment

Surely if the players (and I presume all other club staff) are furloughed, they can't play? I don't really understand how that can work.

                                                  Comment

There is a part-time furlough scheme that you can place employees in and out of at your discretion. I suppose they could make use of that around the Trophy tie(s).
