          A view as good as this can be had from the cafe in the Parade Shopping Centre, formerly an infirmary, and right in Shrewsbury Town Centre. The Wakeman School that overlooked and gave its name to Gay Meadow's Wakeman End closed in 2013, but was bought by Shrewsbury Sixth Form College. It's visible at top right of the photo.

          No idea why areas like this are developed for housing, or who would dare to live there.
