Olimpia perhaps somewhat sharply did not call Roque to be one of the 6 shooters.
Especially what happened to Nelson Haedo Valdez after Aguilar stuffed his first penal in the quarters....

APERTURA 2021
Figured I'll keep it on this thread instead of starting a new one.
*So this is another bizarre season. As last year's Clausura had a short 1-game season with playoffs, the bottom two teams got relegated - General Diaz and San Lorenzo.
*For the Apertura, it will be only 10 teams in the Primera, and an shorter 18-game season.
*The bottom team gets straight-relegated.
*With 2 positions open, the top 3 in the Intermedia will be promoted automatically for a 12-team Primera in the Clausura.
*The 2nd to last team in the Primera plays the 4th team in the Intermedia.
*For some reason, the winner of the Intermedia will get a spot in the Sudamericana as a league champion. Of course, I'd like to see this in all leagues....kind of like March Madness when the rinky-dink conference winners go to the big tournament.
*Daniel Ganero, who won a few titles at Guarani before winning 4 in a row with Olimpia (while getting fired for never winning a knockout round in the Libertadores,) is at Libertad. He's lit a fire under Oscar Cardozo's (a/k/a Tacuara's) left foot and they are undefeated in first with a victory over Olimpia and 2 games in hand.
