For which Lindsey Horan is out with the rona.
NWSL is going to rerun the Challenge Cup next year before the regular season starts, in whatever circumstances allow. Regular season begins mid-May, 24 games, 6 teams make the playoffs, final the weekend of 11/20/21. and LA will play at LAFC's stadium when they start.
West Ham, Fulham, and some Bundesliga are looking into Kai Wagner of Philly.
For those who didn't see it, the children wrecked Panama the other night 6-2.
The Fire are ditching their brand new badge, Austin brought out their jerseys today, and the plan for the playoffs is, if you get hit by an outbreak, the league will postpone if they can. If it's too bad or they can't, you forfeit.

Utter mess at the end of the Orlando / NYC game. Keeper saves winning penalty in the shootout, VAR says he's off the line, he gets booked and that is his second yellow. Decends into farce.

That happened to Ireland's keeper in one of the underage European finals a couple of years ago against the Netherlands. An outfield player had to go in goal for the final Dutch penalty, and I thought at the time it would never happen again. Obviously there's a second gobshite referee out there.

I saw some footage of a pitch invasion at a game the other week and did want to establish how many people were watching. What's going on? Are there no restrictions on sporting events any more or does it depend on the state?

At root it depends on the state.
Some have indeed removed all restrictions.
It then depends on the club/school and in some cases the league/conference in which they play. Restrictions to 25 percent of capacity are not uncommon.
There have been attendances in excess of 25,000 in both Texas and Florida.
The pitch invasion was in Indiana, and actually included at least half of the people who were there.
This is Oklahoma yesterday

Part of the reason Dallas were perfectly happy selling Reggie Cannon to Boavista/Lille was because they felt they had a perfectly ready to go younger player in his position, Bryan Reynolds.
Juve are offering $6-7M for Bryan Reynolds now.
4 Crew players have the rona, as does a Sounder.
Atlanta canned 9 players, including Andrew Carleton and Jeff Larentowicz.
There's an investment group looking into buying the Utah Royals and moving them to...Kansas City. really.
If you have the Athletic, read the story on David Villa/NYCFC.
One of the people up for the DCU coaching job is Jill Ellis. Megan Rapinoe's book has a lot to say about here, including the "wonderful" story of Ellis calling Rapinoe into her room the night before the 2015 WC final, playing Rapinoe a highlight reel of her mistakes, then wondering aloud in front of Rapinoe about whether she should start her in the final the next day. Other candidates include Ezra Hendricksen and Chris Armas.

USMNT v El Salvador early next month in Fort Lauderdale.
Houston purged a lot of people in the end of season roster decisions; TFC won't bring back Pablo Piatti, and Greg Vanney resigned today as coach. NYCFC canned Gary Mackay-Steven and Gideon Zelalem.
Montreal are reported to be renaming themselves....Montreal FC. Romell Quioto signs a 2 year extension with them.

New coach gets to fill a DP slot, plus lots of free money from Ciman's contract expiring. Needed: a coach who can figure out how to play both Akinola and Jozy, a centre-back, and a DP winger. For some reason, Jesse Marsch's name is floating around, but that's simply ludicrous. I kind of hope we can lure Robin Fraser back.

Marco Farfan from Portland to LAFC for allocation money, likely to be spent on importing a fullback from Banfield. They have another trade done already as well.
Shea Salinas re-signed by San Jose.
The indoor season will begin sometime in the New Year, with 6 of 17 teams having to take the year off for assorted virus related reasons.

Mauro Manotas is going to be sold to Xolos.
Utah Royals are officially being bought and moved/returned to KC, with an option to return as an expansion team in 2023 baked into the sale of RSL. For legal/easiest option purposes, KC is being treated as an expansion team, but they get Utah allocation money, draft picks and slots, etc. Just before the move, Utah traded Kelley O'Hara to Washington.

Dallas has 3 offers and counting for Bryan Reynolds.
TFC are looking into Laurent Blanc and Patrick Viera to manage them; the frontrunner in DC right now is Ezra Hendrickson.
Houston got $4M and a 25% sell-on clause for Manotas, who didn't really want to go, to help cover coronavirus losses.
Paul McDonough left Miami FC tonight.
Matt Besler is out in Kansas City; Diego Fagundez in New England. Will Trapp is likely to sign for Minnesota, and Chicago brought in a young Bulgarian winger.
The Fresno Fuego have returned from the dead. Kinda. As the Central Valley Fuego FC, to play either in Fresno, or Visalia, in League 1 in 2022.
MLS is likely to take over the sale of RSL and all its accoutrements in January.

Well that was a really satisfying final. 3-0 for a team that was supposed to have been franchised out of their city three years ago. Against a vastly over-hyped Seattle team, who have played eight halves of cup final football in the last five years and were only genuinely good for one 30-minute spell. I love watching Seattle lose. Absolutely love it.
Re: TFC. There will be riots if we get Ben Olsen. And much as I love Vieira, nothing about his tenure at Nice makes me want him here. Laurent Blanc would be ludicrously overqualified, but not sure what kind of reception he would get in MLS given the Clairefontaine tapes of a decade ago. Justin Morrow is ED of the BPC.

Special note for AG; The "missing" CCL spot for the nonexistent Open Cup winner this year has been awarded to..Atlanta. As current holders. The others are Philly as Shield Winners, Columbus as league winners, and Portland for winning the Disney tourney. Forge FC will play TFC for the Canadian spot in January I think. And York 9 rebranded to York United FC.
Austin kicked off the mini trade window by shipping something close to $1.25M of allocation money to various places for players; $500K to SJ for Nick Lima was the biggest. They also brought in Ben Sweat from Miami, Ulises Segura from DC, Jon Gallagher from Atlanta, and Julio Cascante from Portland. Portland also got $300K from LAFC for Marco Farfan, and $160K from NYC for an international slot. Expansion draft Tuesday at 6PM ET
