Cheers Zeb! Still a decent bit of representation then.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City all at home? Booring.

Palace vs Brighton might draw a decent crowd. And be a potential upset.

I'm gutted it's not a home draw for Town. We're going to see the men play Burton the day before this so getting everyone up to Manchester is a bit of a logistical task... But it is half term so no school the next day and worth having a think.

A bit of a bridge too far for the young Ipswich team (10-0 for anyone counting). Birmingham also won at Sunderland, 1-0. The goal was from ex-Black Cat (skipper indeed) Lucy Staniforth, who moved to Birmingham to stay pro when Sunderland were excluded from the WSL 1 and 2 licences back in 2018. Staniforth's day was mixed; she was subsequently sent off!

No other results yet because Dennis. Though today's three games should go ahead.

Oh, and Sunderland and Ipswich being eliminated means the 14 sides left standing are all WSL outfits.

Heads held high and all that. This still feels like a breakthrough season for the Tractor Girls - as long as they can cap it off with promotion to the National South...

Edit - presumably you mean WSL and Championship? (Which was WSL 1 and 2 until recently of course.)

That branding change had pass me by, I must admit.

Chelsea (beat Liverpool 1-0, Reiten with the goal), Everton (5-0 winners at Bristol City) and Spurs (5-0 winners at Coventry United) have joined Birmingham City and Manchester City in the last eight.

Re-arrange dates* for the other ties are:
                    Thursday: Leicester City vs Reading
                    Sunday: Arsenal vs Lewes
next Tuesday: Crystal Palace vs Brighton

                    * - the Chelsea-Liverpool game was also a re-arrangement

                    QF draw:
                    Palace or Brighton vs Birmingham
                    Everton vs Chelsea
                    Arsenal or Lewes vs Spurs
Leicester or Reading vs Man City

Oh and the Staniforth red card was quite something - https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...y-staniforths/

Did Ipswich learn anything from playing Man City on Saturday? About ruthlessness, perhaps? The early evidence suggests they did....

After forced demotion was followed by on-field relegation, Doncaster Rovers Belles have finally found some form.
Last night's home win over Long Eaton was their third successive league victory since the current Scunthorpe United defender, Andy Butler took over as manager. They're now mid table in Midlands Division 1.

After announcing a couple of weeks ago that the WSL season would not be concluded, the FA have today confirmed that the final tables will be decided by PPG. This means that Chelsea are champions with Manchester City getting the second European spot. At the bottom Liverpool are relegated, to be replaced by Aston Villa.

As Liverpool Women's #1 Supporter (according to Futbology) I am obviously disappointed by the club's relegation. However this is compensated by the amusement I got from the situation in my position as Everton Women's #1 Supporter.

Not quite of the same order, but only a rung below - Man City sign Sam Mewis. If they also get Rose Lavelle, as it is speculated they might, that combined signing would match Chelsea's big purchase. And in more general terms, it's an interesting trend when NWSL superstars like Kerr or USA starters still in their 20s like Mewis are now moving to England. There is still a way to go before the WSL could claim to be an equal (particularly given the English stars like Bronze, Taylor and Parris going to Lyon rather than being at a WSL club), but that ground is closing.
