    Congleton, eh?

The people who voted for Ann Winterton as their MP in 2005?

Even after it was established she was a piece of racist shit?

And in the interests of balance, Stocksbridge (Sheffield)

      Where they vote for UKIP.

At least Angela Smith was only outed as a racist after she got elected as their (and by extension "our") MP

To me, that is a co-author. The game was paused when Harringey initially left the pitch, but it wasn't abandoned then. When Harringey said after discussion that they were not willing to play on, Yeovil said that also applied to them. That is both teams refusing to continue, so a mutual abandonment.

So, who are we going to have our cup run against?

Harrogate v Portsmouth an early candidate for a televised game.

There you go, GO. Away to Wealdstone (maybe).

Who will you be supporting GO, Wealdstone or Rotherham?

Bollocks. I'm in Britain without the missus for the first weekend in years, and are Oxford (United, before someone says something snide about Court Place Farm) playing at home? Of course not.

Harrogate v Portsmouth looks an obvious telly pick, although no doubt local residents will complain that the presence of football fans will bankrupt every shop in town and damage the Stray for the next thousand years. Dulwich v Carlisle may well get on too. Salford being drawn at home to Burton will presumably lead the BBC to having that on their round the grounds thingy on the Sunday afternoon.

Having England v Germany at 17:30 on the Saturday at Wembley might affect a few of the games in the vicinity?

I wouldn't rule out Salford - Burton being a live game.

Never rule out BT Sport/BBC's ability to put the Class of 92 over everything.

Fantastic opportunity for Ipswich to crash put of the cup even earlier than usual this year.

Heh. Residents in that part of town only had a single two-hour road closure to deal with during the World Championships so will be delighted to have something to grumble about. In fact they have been at it for a few years now as the stadium has been developed.

I had a look at the Stray at the weekend and that corner of it is still fenced off and is a bit of a mess, though I'm sure it will be fine come the spring. Elsewhere in the town you wouldn't know anything had been on. Until you picked up the local paper, that is. This will run for weeks in the letters page.

The lowest team left from the pyramid - Chichester City (8th tier) - got the bye and 36k quid.

And have said they're going to try and find a way of giving some to Bury. Possibly a few other clubs coughing nervously and looking at their shoes, there.

Sol Campbell's appointment at Southend suggests Dover v Southend will be pushed higher up the list for live coverage, providing we haven't Brexited and Dover is still accessible and civilised.

One would hope so, given its previous success.
Gateshead v Oldham is the notable non-league v league omission, especially as they could tie in with it being 30 years since Oldham's run to the semi-finals, dig up one of Joe Royle's crew as studio guests... maybe it's a bit too "up north" for them.
