      Tamworth or Hereford v Darlington
Tamworth went through 3-1 on penalties. Good news for Darlo is that Tamworth is 47 miles closer than Hereford (as measured by train stations). And they have played Tamworth in the NLN so have some familiarity.

I think at least a third of the clubs in the draw are ex-FL or phoenix versions of such clubs.

The aforementioned Belper are Step 4 as well.

This season is the first time Tamworth have won an FA Cup game in five seasons.
Darlington are familiar opponents from previous seasons but I'd be surprised if any of the players or staff in either team were still with the club then.

They have corrected it now, btw.

How fucking inept do you have to be you can't read the results?

                  11. Notts County v Belper Town

It's been pointed out that it's been well over a hundred years since a former winner of the FA Cup played in the qualifying rounds.

Just confirming this as per discussion upthread :

Bury expulsion means bye to second round for one team

"The club that receives the bye will also be awarded the £36,000 prize money for a first-round winner.

The final club left in the pot during the draw will receive the bye."

Wasn't the draw supposed to be from the club room of the winner between Potters Bar and Barnet?

As that was a draw, what are they doing?

Haringay players have apparently walked off the field after several incidents of racial abuse aimed towards their goalkeeper from Yeovil fans.

I wonder if both teams walking off the pitch in response to alleged racist abuse of one team's players would have happened if it hadn't been for the Bulgaria game in midweek.

Hartlepool's players were ready to walk off in support of Dover when some Hartlepool fans racially abused a Dover player last month. But Dover's players chose not to leave the field, so the game (eventually) continued. Obviously it's impossible to say what might have happened in the Harringey-Yeovil match under a different timeline, but such joint actions by teams were already in the water prior to events in Sofia.

On a much more savoury topic, Royston Town 1-3 Maldon & Tiptree. Over 1100 there as well, which is a record attendance by a fairly massive margin for the Crows. Ah, nuts.

Was reminded about this incident this morning where Padiham walked off the pitch about a year ago due to racist abuse.

Their opponents were fined £160. Meanwhile Padiham received a £165 fine.

I didn't know about that. Clearly idiotic application of (presumably) competition regulations.

But the fact that there are three examples (Haringey v Yeovil, Hartlepool v Dover and this game involving Padiham) in which both teams felt that leaving the pitch was a reasonable, uncontroversial response to a situation (even if they didn't actually do that at Hartlepool) seems to me to lay down a challenge both to racists to explain why their right to be vocally racist is more important than allowing a game to go ahead and to administrators to deal with things in a more appropriate manner.

The report on the Padiham incident is not clear whether Congleton also walked off. The report quotes the Padiham co-manager in thanking Congleton's players for being understanding of why Padiham had ceased playing in the game, but that isn't the same as Congleton being co-authors of the abandonment.

Indeed so, a nuance I tried to cover with “both teams felt that leaving the pitch was a reasonable, uncontroversial response to a situation”.

The same is true of the Haringey game. Borough left the pitch. Ten minutes later so did Yeovil. The ref asked Haringey if they wanted to play on, they said no. Yeovil said they'd support whatever Haringey decided. So they were supportive of the decision to abandon but that's not the same as being co-authors.
