Presumably they are contractually obliged to play the semis and final at an empty Wembley?

Presumably so the Wembley Club season ticket holders don't get a refund. The corporate seats will be as empty as every other year.

Where else would you play them?

Sorry to any Norwich fans on here, but I'd rather we got knocked out than the chance of getting to the final for the first time in our history and having it played in an empty stadium.

edit - I think they should have scrapped it regardless in any case.

It doesn't really matter, does it? Other than if they play it somewhere else then there's a precedent for next time they insist on playing a semi-final between Manchester City and Liverpool at Wembley at 17:30 on a Sunday when the WCML is closed.

The FA Cup? No, null it. Dan Walker’s held it, eww. Melt it down and start again.

I fear City players being a bit “meh” and the fucking toon having a run at this

Is there going to be an asterisk against the winner of the Cup? It would be a shame if that were to happen to Sheff U, Norwich or Leicester.

I've got a sneaking feeling that this most bizarre of seasons is going to end wifh the first ever all-Manchester FA Cup final, at a deserted Wembley. We'll see if that moves a step closer this weekend ...

There's no reason for an asterisk, whoever wins it will do it the same way as always.

Norwich at home on the telly again? Typical metropolitan Wensum-centric liberal media bias.

Yeah, the NHS logos are a nice idea but very aesthetically displeasing. I had hoped they were only for the first games back, which I believe the BLM ones were.

Would be nice if all 4 home games were won by hosts. Would mean a familiar engraving for the first time since 1955. And before that 1925. And opportunity for 2 fresh engravings. But thats all it would be-nice. Back in early March when the tickets were posted out for the Man City game there was an exciting buzz and nervous anticipation. Now its just a shrug of the shoulders. Even if we fancifully bother the engravers for first time since 1955 not seeing it in a stadium has taken away everything but the opportunity for continued national hilarity about black n whites last winning a trophy on black n white telly.

Surely it was colour by the time the League Cup came along?

Ighalo's cult status among Man United fans quickly reaching Henrik Larsson levels.

Jesse Lingard looks lost these days, he's just completely lost his form for whatever reason.

A final defeat to Man City in 1976 aside we have never looked liked winning that particular trophy. Our Fairs Cup trophy in 1969 just about straddles the introduction of colour telly even if the 1970 world cup is the football trigger for the new medium. Our the winning Budapest second leg was only broadcast in monochrome

I think you'll find he was sent off for committing a blatant foul while he was the last man back. Man Utd over the years have got their fair share of dodgy decisions but not quite that bad
