Venues where we have watched international matches; the triangulation thread

So obviously there will be a considerable amount of crossover from other related threads when it comes to lists and anecdotes but it had to be done (well, I had to do it)..

Let's see how many shared and how many unique experiences we've had:

    1973:

Goodison Park: Northern Ireland 1 Wales 0. Less than 5,000 attended, so I doubt if anyone on here would have been there. But who knows?

    1983:

    Wembley: England 2 Scotland 0
    Wembley: England 2 Hungary 0

A lot of the knuckleheads in the crowd booed Puskas when he was presented before the match. I'm happy to say that the people I was with did their best to shut them the fuck up.

    1990:

El Molinón, Gijón: Spain 3 Brazil 0 (five days after I had seen David Bowie live, also in Gijón, for the first and only time. Heady days...)

    2014:

Ciutat de Valencia (Levante's ground): Spain 5 Macedonia 1

    2019:

    Mestalla: Spain 2 Norway 1

In both of the Spain matches Manolo el del Bombo made his customary appearance. I don't mind a drum or two but he doesn't really play his drum, just bangs it. And worse, he doesn't even seem to watch the games, both of which featured the dreaded Mexican wave. This should be banned except for very small children.

There: the thread is started, so let's see it die a quick death, or...?

I've only ever been to three.

    England 1-0 Scotland 1988 Wembley
England 1-1 Colombia 1988 Wembley (both these two I attended as a steward)

USA 2 - 3 Honduras 2001 RFK Stadium Washington DC. Don't really need to triangulate this one much as I know I attended with other OTFers - imp, Hot Pepsi and Heliotrope

Are we just listing full men's international match venues otherwise we could end up with some interesting additions.

Anyway, my list is rather short:
      Millennium Stadium, Cardiff
      Cardiff City Stadium
      Racecourse, Wrexham
      Old Trafford

Was anyone else at the England v Jamaica friendly at OT in 2006?

          Full Internationals:
          1999 - Old Wembley - England 0-2 France
          2006 - Old Trafford - England 0-0 FYR Macedonia

          U21
          2018 - Molineux - England 2-1 Romania

The 2006 game was the match that put me off attending international football for a while. I went up on a coach from Tewkesbury with a friend of a friend who knew someone who was running the coach. The sheer racism and xenophobia on the way up (10 German bombers, I'd rather be a P*** than a Turk, Keep St. George in my heart) just made me cringe and generally feel uncomfortable the whole way up. Fortunately I had earphones to block most of it out.

The U21 game last year brought me back to wanting to see some live internationals again. I went up with my 12 year old's football team and it was a fantastic day out - even in Wolverhampton - and it meant I finally got to tick Molineux off the list of grounds I've yet to attend. We're now considering a family outing (my Grandmother had 11 kids, and my cousins and I are all very close) to the Bulgaria game in September.

City Ground, Nottingham for two of the Euro 96 games. Thats it (and not in the Brian Clough Stand either - I was slumming it in the supposed Main Stand).

Is there an OTF rule for naming stadia that keep on changing their name?
Anyway, Pac Bell Park (now Oracle Park) in San Francisco.

Maybe you'd mislaid your contact Lens when posting your original list.
