Not a regular attendee, so most of those come from a couple of trips to the European Championships and the bottom four from a Wembley double header at the Olympics.Portugal are the team that I've seen the most, four times. Entertainment was sparingly distributed across the 360+ minutes of play.Last edited by Benjm; 04-08-2021, 15:37.

In the Olympics, I've seen Japan, Morocco, Honduras, Senegal, Spain and Mexico.
My international football watching is almost all from tournaments, which are ace. Friendlies are wank, and tournament qualifying is only any good if you have a team to follow, which I don't.Last edited by Third rate Leszno; 25-03-2019, 21:13.

I'm kinda take-or-leave-it with Ireland internationals. I didn't bother for years, went regularly for a couple of years during the golden double-income-pre-kids match-going period and probably average one a year the last 20 years (on count back I think it's just 17). Altogether I think it's....
Ireland homes
Sweden x2
NI
Chile
Czechs
SanMarino
Wales
Slovakia
Germany
Brazil
Cyprus
Argentina
Andorra
Russia
Estonia
Georgia
Gibraltar
also 2006 World Cup
Argentina,
Czech Rep,
Togo,
Ghana,
Ukraine x2,
Swtizerland x2,
Saudi Arabia,
Tunisia x2,
Serbia & Montenrgro
and Hungary v Spain randomly and 2000 Olympics final Cameroon v Spain and Dundalk v Finland
I'm counting that as 26 countries, with Togo topping the list for obscurity.
Plus Ireland and N Ireland B, Ireland and Czechs U21, Ireland and Slovakia U23, Ireland and Turkey U18

That's the lot - from the Euro 96 games at the City Ground.
And if you were do you remember a crowd of "neutrals" turning to look quizzically at another "neutral" who had instinctively booed Jorge Cadete when he was subbed on and who clearly was neither Turkish nor Portuguese and who worked it out after about five seconds of the booer realising what he'd just done and his mate glaring at him while whispering under his breath "What the fuck did you do that for?! I managed to keep it shut - why couldn't you?! What's the point of staying sober to drive to a new city each day if we're still gonnae get into the kind of stupid tr ..."
HE MUST BE A RANGERS FAN ...
"Brilliant - well done - here it comes ..."
COME ON ENGLAND!
"Congratulations - you've just outed us ... I saw some of these in our section at St James' yesterday ...
YEAH - COME ON ENGLAND - INTO THE SWEATYS TOMORROW!
" ... half these punters probably have tickets for Elland Road tomorrow night too ... oh, well done!"
IF YOU HATE THE FUCKING SCOTLAND* ...
Were you? Were you in that stand? Did you see that? No? Okay.
I'm still there. Regularly. I'm back there on those long lonely nights I wonder why no-one wants to drink with me. But usually only as the first part of a memory which really peaks with what was waiting for us the next night, up that corner where the Leeds United Kop meets that big Thistle Hotels stand.
*No-one said this. It was still just the Germans in 1996.Last edited by Alex Anderson; 25-03-2019, 10:37. Reason: Although the crowd of absolutely-not-neutrals around us at the semi v Germany were very nice after we were outed at half-time - by a Leeds fan funnily enough - for our total silence in the first half.
