Would have thought Ipswich had sizeable enough crowds not to be in such a position?

Is it just a coincidence that Macclesfield called this game off just a few days after Bolton got their ridiculously light punishment? The teams below them can't be impressed.

Sad to see, though senior football in Limerick has always been a struggle, the city has some of the top non league sides in Ireland and the league of Ireland side has always been looked down on.

A week seems quite short, unless they think Macclesfield have a buyer.

Here are the results of the winding up petitions and it looks like bad news for Macclesfield who I think have been wound up. Southend have been given an extra 42 days to pay outstanding debts of of ?493k. I think this also means the embargo on transfers remains and Southend will contain using youth players. If you haven't already put your pre-season bets on, stick a pound or two on us to go down this season, it'll be the best bet you ever make.

Confirmed, Macclesfield Town wound up with debts of ?500,00.

National League club Macclesfield Town are wound up in the High Court over debts totalling more than ?500,000.

Now where are Southend going to get 440k without any ticket revenue? I would take starting in the National league next year as at least we'll still have a club to support.

Is that it then? Does this mean legally there's no chance of redemption now?

theoretically they can escape compulsory liquidation if they agree another insolvency mechanism. dunno what it means wrt FA rules though.

Would imagine so. Can't see there being any justification for promoting a replacement club at this late hour.

I don’t know how a lot of other clubs are staying afloat.
