It's not an invented word. Well, I mean, it was at some point. But it's a real word (it's been around since the 14th century according to Dictionary.com).
In a century's time, all English adverbs ending in 'ly' will end instead with 'league': happy-league. Sudden-league. Effortless-league.
This process will be accelerated by the Riddley Walker type post apocalyptic early iron age living conditions to which remaining humanity will have been reduced. Unfortunate-league.
Didn't think I'd cry at any point but have to admit one strip did bring a tear. I don't want to spoil it but anyone else who's read it should be able to guess which particular one got me.
The book is superb. Many highlights, but I think my favourite has to be Cannigia vs Cameroon. Although there are a couple of strips - including one mentioned earlier - that are beautifully done.

Bit earlier - the Gazza one. Having not seen One Night In Turin, I didn't know what Bobby had said to him after the penalty shoot-out. The mix of dignity and heartbreak.
