    This weekend's football

I'm going to Tottenham v Newcastle on Sunday, it'll be interesting to see how Newcastle play.

I'm tempted to go to Wingate & Finchley (as they seem to be my closest non-league club), but it very much depends on the weather.

If Grimsby don't win the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, Wembley should be pulled down again.

You forgot the Irish Cup semi-finals. Coleraine v Donegal and Cliftonville v Linfield. The latter kicks off early to clash with the old firm on tv and- hopefully- to lessen the likelihood of some halfwit throwing a leg of lamb at one of the goalkeepers.

          Donegal are from Belfast btw.

I might be going up that Wimbledon tomorrow. It looks likely that most matches around here will be washed out - it has been pouring with rain all day, and I think it's due to continue through until at least tomorrow.

I'll be going to Chelsea V Boro with my lad. I don't think I've ever seen a good game between the sides and I don't suspect that I'll have cause to revise that opinion by the end of the game.

I've committed the unforgiveable act of choosing to go to a University reunion type thing instead of going to watch Bangor City in the Semi Final. If we lose, I take full responsibility.

Off to the Albion v Colchester game tomorrow. Ready for swashbuckling football, quick passing and a bucketful of goals to the home side.

But I bullshit thee, as a nerve-shredding 90 minutes of skin-of-your-teeth skirmishes and possible disapointment will probably be the more realistic outcome.

The good thing about Swindon playing up north on a Friday night is that I won't have to find out how much they've lost by until I'm already drunk.

Let us know how it is CTT. Looks pretty good to me, but I've only read one review and that was a Nintendo one so i'm not really trusting that one.

Bromley FC vs Hampton and Richmond for me, a good run in at the end of the season and we might sneak the play offs.

I might see if I can get a ticket for the MK Dons end on the day at Wembley on Sunday..Sure they're evil, but my dislike for AFC Wimbledon is so much more that I now have a soft spot for them..

There was also a 2-1 aggregate win for Middlesbrough in the first year of the play-offs that sent Chelsea down to the second division in 1988.

                                          WBA 0 - Colchester 2 after about 18 minutes. It's a silly division.

Diaby sent off for Arsenal, for a 'reckless, dangerous' tackle. They're already 1-0 down to Bolton.

I wonder whose games have had more goals this season, WBA's or Spurs'?

We had a fantastic 3-3 with them in January and play them again on Tuesday though I'm hoping that is a sedate pre-Wembley affair for both of us.

Edit: I couldn't resist, WBA have 126 in 38 & 1/2 games an average of 3.27 a game but Spurs 111 goals in 31 games giving them a stonking 3.58. All figures goals scored and conceded obviously.

Either all games that season were goalless at half-time, or Soccerbase haven't bothered to find out the half-time scores and have put 0-0 for all of them. Not sure which.
