Bloody hell, for all this time i've been thinking it was Mark Hughes.

Look at how many Premiership players were in that squad though.

I remember that game well because Clarence Seedorf was imperious. He gave one of the best performances I've ever actually witnessed in the flesh. We were absolutely outclassed and in no way deserved to win.
The result in Rotterdam was without doubt the worst game for us ever. I've been worried about a repeat ever since. I feared it would happen so many times. Grim beyond words.

As a result, Slovakia at home was it's equal. Though the disparity in our and our opponents' performances was not so marked.

The SLovakia game was a shocker but like you say Harry the disparity wasn't so great. We deserved to lose 7-1 against the Dutch. We were truly awful. Against Slovakia, whilst we were terrible, Paul Jones gave a couple of goals away and SLovakia scored some real freakish goals. Toshack also got it tactically wrong and admitted so after. Were we three down at half time? Toshack kept trying to retrive the situation instead of damage limitation.
Against the Dutch we were defrocked and exposed for all the world to see and we didn't have the excuse of playing a young and inexperienced team. As for performances the last two away games in Cyprus were very poor.
No matter what anyone says, nothing competes with dark dog-days of Gould.

Beautiful goal against Iceland. But what kind of name is Ched?

Short for Chedwyn, not that that's any excuse.

Chedwyn has a kind of a Bennifer or Brangelina ring to it. Edwyn and who?

                    Cheryl, it's a Girls Aloud/Orange Juice mash-up.
