Them actually being or doing something cuntish. Not some throw away remark about Wenger acting like a beady eyed paedo.
But maybe, just maybe (and this is rich coming from me who throws the word 'cunt' around with gay abandon) you shouldn't call anyone a cunt at all. Because it makes you look a bit, well, cuntish.
Now, just out of interest, what do you make of wingco's thread?
I don't think there's any connection between the remarks up thread and the rather unpleasant rumours from about a decade ago. It's just a rather unkind comment about a manager who seemed to refuse to sign anyone over the age of about 16.
My first, second and third thought was that it seemed like a direct reference to the rumours and innuendo about Wenger some time ago. If,for some reason, HoH has completely forgotten all about that then I'm sure he'd immeadiately want to tell us and clear the issue up.
I speak from experience, I once shouted comments at Dave Jones that (unbeknownst to me) were construed to be about the false allegations regarding him and I was mortified when I realised that they were open to misinterpretation.
Well it's there in black and white. He didn't say "I thought he just kidnapped promising young boys from schools in France because he's a beady eyed peado." he said "I thought he just kidnapped promising young boys from schools in France, like a beady eyed peado."
What, the whole Wenger/paedo chant went beyond "tasteless terrace banter" into the realm of "rumours/innuendo"? People have called Wenger a paedophile and thought it was true?

Oh yes, sorry, blinding clarity. I feel such a fool now.

I found the act of typing the original remarks cuntish, so I called it. I'm not sure any remarks about anyone being a 'paedo' can be throw-away really, but that's just me. It rankles, just like when Chelsea sing to Liverpool that they killed their own fans or Leeds sing about Munich or Rangers fans sing about Big Jock knowing.
You've got to draw the line somewhere, and I did by calling your mate a cunt. I haven't read all of Wingco's post because it's too long and my eyes hurt but it looks fairly cunty.
well we can assume and act with a little charity. until he got to the CL final there was a huge amount of disquiet amongst arsenal fans at wengers near total refusal to sign anyone over the age of 17.
If it wasn't for those terrace chants from over a decade ago, no-one would think twice about it. I don't think there's any point in even thinking about them.
I found Wingco's post funny but I think there is a fair degree of difference between humour that tangentially refers to paedophilia (and doesn't derive it's humour from that) and saying someone who has suffered years of innuendo and rumour about them acts like a paedophile.
To be honest, I think it's more of a sign that nobody here gives the slightest credence to those rumours that the reference was made in the first place.
I was in no way refering to Wenger's past or rumours thereon. As has been said by others already, i said "like" not "because he is a paedo". It was a JOKE. Full stop.
Call me a crap writer if you want, but i couldnt think of a similie, about watching young boys running rounds fields in France, in shorts, without the word Paedo popping into my head. Although i do genuinely think he has beady eyes!!
Maybe it was naive, maybe it cuts close to the bone to some, who may have been affected directly or indirectly by such monsters, but I am certainly not a "cunt".
If anyone can think of a better similie for liking to watch and sign, school-age boys then please tell me and I will use it in the future.
I thank EIM and others for being able to read on, as well as between the lines with this one. If you find yourself being offended by something written here, its normally worth a re-read just to make sure you have a case.
The evidence is there in black and white. Semantically and syntactically that post was not deliberately offensive.

If only MM had said you were "like" a cunt and not actually a cunt then all this unpleasantness could have been avoided, eh?
LC man utd fans attibute loss of Arsenal players to ridiculous levels of meanness
What is the point of having the stadium that generates the most cash of any stadium in the world if you don't pay hleb more than £30,000 a week. Surely Arsenal can afford to pay him more than that?
lets not kid ourselves here. the only reason that club owners try and keep the debt down is so they get a higher price when they sell to the LBO specialists, who don't give a fuck.
Arsenal were paying hleb £30,000 a week and refused to give him a contract commensurate with his importance to the club, that's why he has left. and because of their meanness, they have lost half their midfield for £3 million.
anyway, you don't run up debt by giving your best players big contracts That is good management. You run up debts by paying harry kewell £76,000 a week for five years.
Curiously MU supporters attribute the Arsenal loss of form to MU
I don't feel like looking up Arsenal's results before their 4-0 loss at OT (FA Cup or not, losing 4-0 against Man Utd is not a confidence booster), but I seem to remember that Arsenal's results prior to that were a lot better than their results in the following eight games. If you want to locate a time at which Arsenal's form started to dip precipitously, my guess is that the defeat at Old Trafford is not an outrageously arbitrary marker.
