    Match-fixing in League Two?

FA to probe Accrington - Bury game after "unusual" betting patterns

I wonder what an "unusually high" level of betting on this game means. How much money normally changes hands on an end-of-season middle-of-the table clash in League Two?

From what I read there was over two hundred large bet on this, which was at least a hundred large more than they'd expect. Although similar games appeared to only have around £50k bet on them.

If you wanted to fix a result when better then today in a game of no consequence.

Mind you, if I was going to bet on an away win then the obvious bet is at Accrington - they are shite at home.

There's also news of yet another match in Belgium coming under suspicion.

About 10 days ago, Anderlecht played at home to St. Trond/Sint Truiden. According to L'Equipe, the highly unusual sum of more than USD 1.2 million was bet on this bog standard Belgian league game in China, with much of it being put on Anderlecht winning by three goals.

After 80 minutes, Sint Truiden were 1-0 up.

The match finished 4-1 to Anderlecht.
