I'm a little surprised that there has been no mention of this.

I saw all three episodes and considered it an intelligent, well-written and excellently acted piece of work. James Nesbitt managed to put his winning grin on the backburner to produce a hell of a performance.

    Anyone else bother?

Just watching the second episode on i-Player.

It's a bit cliché ridden but some nice performances and I'm enjoying it, if that's the right phrase for a drama like this.

AA Gill said that this thing was the greatest TV drama he'd watched in years, nay, decades. So I'll not be going out of my way to see it on DVD.

Nesbitt tends to be pretty dreadful in non-comedic roles. His histrionics and comically enraged facial expressions almost managed to ruin the otherwise excellent Five Minutes Of Heaven.

I think A.A Gill may've gone a bit OTT with the praise there but I thought it was pretty good and the finale was a real doozy of a WTF moment, or moments to be precise.

Nesbitt was actually very good in it, he was extremely restrained and seemed very believable as the grizzled sergeant.
