I wasn't directly comparing it to Scandi programmes, just saying it's hard to get a handle on how good it really is while trying to suss out the language, the different systems at play, the different cultures, and while cooing at nice buildings/mountains.

The changing the names of departments and job titles has bugged me a lot in the past. And sent me down rabbit holes working out exactly what people's titles were and how it fits into the French criminal justice system. Which is still don't understand at all.
