I am now officially a podcaster - I help with a Cheltenham Town (The Robins Report) one that's released weekly. Our listenership is increasing on the week - and the fact that I've had people come up to me at Cheltenham games to say they agree with me feels very odd.

There's talk of a match follow along on Friday night as we watch Cheltenham away at Charlton - sort of a way for fans to follow the game if they can't afford to pay for iFollow - I like the idea, but not sure on the feasibility.

500songs remains a treat. I canceled Iain Lee because he has just become a bit shit.

Thanks guys - the watchalong is going down as a success - we had 22 unique visitors, which may not sound a lot, but is ok for a first try. It's not something we intend to do regularly though. It was great fun though, especially with Cheltenham winning.

If anyone's in the mood for some ghost stories in the run-up to Christmas, my girlfriend and I like to put on a series of podcasts called Uncanny, which purport to be real-life stories about supernatural encounters. I presume most of them are in fact scripted, but they invite reader feedback and googling a couple of the cases has brought up local news articles about them, so perhaps not.

Anyway, the creator has a new(ish: released in the last couple of months) one out that combines interviews with a couple of experts (one a believer in ghosts, one a sceptic) and one of the people who actually claims to have experienced this particular haunting with dramatisations of some of the key events. Sounds a bit cheesy but it's really well done, I think. It also looks a bit into how people can experience visitations from a scientific point of view – earlier this evening we listened to an episode where the presenter deprives himself of sleep for 36 hours while watching horror films, then sits in front of a mirror in a darkened room with only a tea light and quite soon 'sees' something absolutely terrifying in front of him. It's called The Witch Farm.

The Witch Farm is brilliant. William Shakespeare himself (Joseph Fiennes) plays the beleaguered Bill. The producer dude also did The Batersy Poltergeist. Same vibe. Same brrrrrr. You described it really well.

Wish more of my countrymen would listen to ULTRA - https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-presents-ultra -- very engaging.

Divided Dial - https://www.wnycstudios.org/podcasts/otm/divided-dial - a history of Salem broadcasting and more, also quite informative

I’m really enjoying Foreign Agent, thanks for that. Been a bit bored of podcasts recently and this hard-nosed history is just the tonic.

I’ve recently discovered ‘Fuds on Film’, three Scottish cinema fans discussing various aspects of cinema. They are very good, too, although the podcast hadn’t been updated for some time so I presume it may now be defunct. Plenty of back episodes though. Obviously we tend to warm to podcasts that reflect and develop our own views, so the ‘Fuds on Film’ episode discussing the presenters’ incredulity at the reverence given to French New Wave cinema certainly chimed with me.
