I didn't mind Alien3 but the Alien moved too fast and just popped up to grab someone and then disappeared too often for my liking.

Proper Xenomorphs prey on the isolated individuals, don't just show up in a room full of people and take one, IMO.

The Alien is supposed to inherit the characteristics of its host. The creature in the third film came from a dog which is why it would frequently be seen running on all four legs. However, in the extended cut the creature was inside an Ox...

The 'birth' scene was re-shot later in production. Originally, the prisoners used a herd of Ox's to pull Ripleys stricken EEV out of the water and one of them was impregnated. This is all shown in the extended cut and the dog is nowhere to be seen.

That sounds like a completely different film altogether. I haven't seen that cut. I'm not so keen on the film to actually want to.
