The new Rush Hour TV series

Cop show by numbers. Watched the first episode and not sure it would make sense unless you'd seen the movie Rush Hour.

Still, not badly made and at one point a minor character entered the scene and I said "Sewage Joe!" rather loudly (according to my wife who was sat next to me and who I startled).

(Sewage Joe is a character on Parks & Recreation.)

EDIT: also for the cliche spotters, this programme is chock full of them. Cop gets suspended but still pursues the case being one of them.

So, this isn't a 60-minute show about the Canadian Prog/Rock band, then?

What's there to make sense of? I don't recall the movie having a particularly arcane plot.

The characters turn up and are into their schtick with very little background information.

But yeah I take your point.
