    Couple of things:

1 - that's probably the most coherent he has ever been and...

2 - the fact he has a Muppet head and human hands is really fucking creepy.

It still made me laugh like an idiot.

Yes, on Sky1. It's a bit hit and miss to be honest. There are some really funny lines and moments in it, but it's padded out with some average stuff.

I've been enjoying it. The bar karaoke scene in tonight's episode was highly amusing.

On reflection it wouldn't have taken much to craft some gloves out of muppet felt (I am presuming that this is the correct term for the material they are made from).
As for coherency, isn't this the case with most Scandinavian recording artists, talking in a thick and discernibly Nordic accent, then singing the tunes like they spent their whole life growing up in California?

Yes, agree re the hands - it wouldn't have taken much to don some sponge Muppet-mittens. (I mean, what is this, Thunderbirds?)

Can't help feeling that the 'moment' was some good while ago now, though.

I'm also reminded of the old girl in The Wedding Singer.

Nah, he sounds exactly the same (or as similar as he could considering they've mostly got different voice artists since the 70s due to... reasons) - it's just less "hurdy gurdy".

The hands thing was quite common in the early days of the Muppets though. Dr Teeth originally had human hands for playing the piano.

Some of the Gerry Anderson shows also had puppets with human hands.

Did anyone else like the Muppets shows from the 90s? I loved them.

They weren't wrapped in Muppet gloves?

That's different though - they were meant to look like humans... apart from the massively distended craniums, that is.

Is it wrong that that clip makes me fancy Sandra Bullock even more. Is it also wrong that I watched that just before the remembrance two minutes silence and was thinking about it more than the fallen dead?

Rowlf's were when he played the piano, but Dr Teeth's weren't. They were Jim Henson's hands.
