I missed the first part of this, and just had to have BBC2 on , after been looking at pretty fishes on the Barrier Reef, when this popped up.
Being a sucker for old British kingdoms, I hung around for as long as I could stomach this.
Now I don't know who this Rory Stewart is, but as he kept reminding us he is a very switched on MP, who with startling candour had us being swept from Carlisle to Kashmir, British hardened troops pretending to be Vikings in landing craft, and an interview with a monk giving his list of chores.
It was like a kernel of an idea being shotgun blasted , with no editor in chief.
Very nice filming; but come back Michael Wood , I forgive you.
