    Darcy nonsense

Death comes to Pemberly, was certainly very nicely shot - made Downton Abbey look cheap in fact.(except for the slow mo shots which seemed a bit meh!)
The acting chops were probably right on.
BUT the two main characters Lizzy and Darcy - were not Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth so it was a doomed attempt.

Especially the portrayal of Eizabeth, I can only assume that Darcy had beaten her spirit out of her by this moment.

I still think of Darcy as looking like David Rintoul.

It was hard to take Kevin Eldon seriously as well.

I suspect its portrayal of early 19th Century court procedure was not accurate.

it's more likely that he looked like a cross between david cameron and george osbourne. How many fucking terrible ideas did they have to go through to come up with CSI: Pride and Prejudice

It was well acted, and Matthew Rhys made me loosen my stays a little. I was more in love with Wickham's sister's bonnet, though, such fantastic colours. Luckily it didn't get squashed by the horses.

It's from a PD James story, so of course a whodunnit. I'm told the screenplay was much better than the book.

          Not bad holiday viewing.
