I've just heard a traumatic advert

On XFM Manchester, the advert for the new film about the Stone Roses gig at Spike Island in 1990.

I'd already seen the poster which features one of the Tittensor brothers (Shameless and Emmerdale) centre stage with shaggy hair. His accent, as he describes the gig in the radio advery, is Manc-ed up to eleven.

I think it's heading for Green Street levels of authenticity.

Renowned Madchester historian Peter Bradshaw gives it three out of five in today's Guardian.

Alongside We Buy Any Car, James Corden does one for something called Toolstation, both never fail to ruin your day & could do with an Ian64 style going over.
      Here's hoping.
