That brand always seemed to play best in suburban/exurban areas where virtually no one had ever been to California nor was likely to go.

Like almost everyone who lived outside the US. It resonated with me because I'd known who Kiefer Sutherland was, and seeing him as a 'baddie' was excellent, and Dianne Wiest, (and the old guy) who held it all together whilst the children were 'playing'.

Oh, and you all know I am into a certain age group, but Jason fucking Patric. Christ, that man was handsome in a John Taylor-esque way, that there is no getting away from. Ethereal. Which was probably why he was cast.
