Can also recommend this 1948 movie which interviews Palestinians, Israeli soldiers and historians about the founding of the state of Israel and the exodus of the Palestinians (making it plain that many were driven out, or felt they had no choice but to flee.)
I was shocked to discover that it's been banned in some US festivals for daring to challenge the "people without land land without a people" trope.
Watched The Present this evening. It's really good. Shows the simple yet constant humiliation that Palestinians are subjected to. Just a simple story of going shopping in an apartheid system.
