Radio York is often (quite fairly) maligned for a multitude of reasons, but yesterday they broadcast a genuinely wonderful Farewell to Bootham Crescent programme. Highlights were Iain Dunn (archetypal local lad and obsessive fan who got to play for his beloved club) and Keith Houchen in conversation, and the bit when 99-year-old City legend Alf Patrick is reduced to tears at the thought of Bootham Crescent disappearing caught me right in the feelings. Well worth half an hour of your time, even if you're not a City fan.
