Is it just me, or has the quality of scripts gone downhill during this millenium?
I'm not sure when the last time was the twist in a thriller thoroughly surprised me and I found it genius, when I last found a horror movie caught my attention for the full length, a comedy was built on a good story rather than a handful of gags stretched over 90min, or an action movie had more to it than a new way to have a crashing car fly through air.
There's been no Seven, Silence of the lambs or No way out (Kevin Costner). No Alien or Sixth sense, no Trading places or Running scared (Billy Crystal), and certainly no Die Hard or Lethal weapon.
